Nepal has been affected severely by the mega earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25th, 2015. Since then Nepalese are struggling to bring their lives back to normalcy. More than 8800 people lost their lives in 14 districts which were severely affected by the earthquake. Among these the most affected areas were Kathmandu, Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Kavrepalanchowk, Dolkha.
On the wake of Nepal Earthquake 2015, IME Foundation has stepped up to provide assistance to those in need through various relief means. IME foundation donated Rs. 20 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in the leadership of the co-founders Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal.
Besides financial support the foundation has also provided other relief materials by donating over 15,000 kgs of rice in various districts affected by the earthquake. In its continuous effort to help the victims IME Foundation has distributed basic necessities like Rice, Dal, Salt, Instant Noodles, Blankets, Tarpaulins, Torch Lights, medicines, etc.
IME Foundation has also helped people of Kirtipur’s Langol VDC to clear the debris of the homes that collapsed due to the earthquake.
