Mr. Raju Paudel

An exuberant manager, a zealous team player and a generous leader – Mr. Raju Paudel is an active social worker born in a beautiful district Baglung- also moniker as “District of Suspension Bridges”. Holding a Masters degree in social science, Mr. Paudel is very much integrated with Public Speaking, Literature and Free Writing. Numbers of Articles written by him about the migrant workers, remittance & contemporary issues has been published through numerous media outlets.

More than a decade of experience from being a Regional/Country Head to Manager in IME Limited, Mr. Paudel has been able to establish a business relation among the Banks & Financial institutions & inspire them to promote the remittance business through IME system. Acting as a Media and PR Head, Mr. Paudel Plays a pivotal role as a primary representative and spokesman of the business both internally and externally. He served as a general secretary for three consecutive years at Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

An active member of International Co-Ordination Council (ICC) for eight long years, He is a determinant social worker who primarily focuses to generally assist, bring relief to, and advocate for the families on frail, and illiteracy. He is solely responsible for the successful mobilization of the IME foundation team members in the distribution of relief materials to flood victims in Terai region. He is engaged in IME foundation to prosper the company’s act on CSR policy and to successfully eradicate illiteracy among children aided to IME foundation’s Mission and Vision.

Suman Pokharel

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Pokharel is presently working as Chief Executive Officer at IME Limited. He holds Masters Degree in Business Studies from Tribhuvan University. Mr. Pokharel has 13 years of banking experience in Everest Bank and Global IME Bank with strong forte in banking operations, credit, international remittance and correspondence banking. He is a strategist with competent fast-track business and management leadership of with 13+ yrs of extensive and diverse managerial experience in sectors like remittances, banking, DTH and automobiles.

He is a quick decision maker, dreamer and thinker, tactful negotiator, and crisis manager. He currently is working as a president of NGO, Youth for social empowerment (YFSE), Lubhu. He is one of the board member of Global IME Bank Limited and IME Limited.

Mrs. Anjali Aryal Dhakal

Member Secretary- IME Foundation

Residing at Dhapasi-9, Mrs Anjali Aryal Dhakal is a social activist devoted to promoting literacy and education among girls. Chairperson of My Mart (renowned departmental store) and member secretary of IME Foundation, Mrs. Dhakal holds double masters degree in sociology and in business studies.

A successful Entrepreneur, assiduous and a quick decision maker, Mrs Dhakal’s ambitious goal is “No children without education”. She is a determinant social worker who is inclined to provide quality education to children specially from remote areas and to provide education to the vulnerable children of a single parent.

She aspires to see the deprived children achieve their dreams and stand out in their life as much as any ordinary children would do. She has also indulged herself into providing equal opportunities in terms of sports by organizing various sports competition that empowers young children as well as youth in general.

Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal

Co-Founder and Executive Chairman-IME Group

Mr. Dhakal, is a first generation serial entrepreneur of Nepal. He and his brother Hem Raj Dhakal co-founded the IME conglomerate of businesses. He strongly believes in and adheres to the ethics of professional financial conduct and governance. Additionally, he has set an exemplary model for the successful merger and acquisition of banks and financial institutions in Nepal. Mr. Dhakal’s visionary leadership has contributed to evolve the IME Group from its humble beginnings into a fast growing conglomerate.

Mr. Dhakal’s leadership in different chambers has contributed to creating a business friendly environment in Nepal to expand domestic investment and attract foreign direct investment. His public relations are far reaching among the government and non-government sectors, diplomatic and business community.

Mr. Dhakal has been serving as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Nepal since 2010. He is the Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the apex body of the private sector of the country. He is also the President of Nepal Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Vice-President of The Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is an invitee member of the Investment Board of Nepal, chaired by the country’s Prime Minister of Nepal

Mr. Dhakal has had the award of Prabal Janasewashree (Fourth) conferred on him by the Government of Nepal and the Gorkha Dakshin Bahu IV. He was also awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Republic of Indonesia for his outstanding service and support for the successful evacuation mission of Indonesian citizens from Nepal in 2015 Earthquake.

Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal

Mr. Dhakal is a first generation serial entrepreneur of Nepal. He co-founded the IME Conglomerate and played a pivotal role in institutionalizing the remittance business in Nepal. He had the vision to globalize the remittance services and expand the business in South Asia. This was in order to help the millions of migrants in the Middle East and Malaysia to send remittances home in the most efficient and cost effective way. Remittances in Nepal have contributed to alleviating the poverty in the country and are approximately a quarter of the national GDP of Nepal.

The IME Conglomerate consists of a number of companies with business interests in banking, remittance, trading, IT, communications, energy, tourism, automobiles, insurance and infotainment and together has generated more than 13,850 jobs (including more than 3,850 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs). Mr. Dhakal took the IME Conglomerate to the global marketplace and established money service institutions in Malaysia, the UK, the USA and Japan and successfully completed the merger & acquisition of a few companies that are listed in the NASDAQ Fortune 500 Companies.

It was Mr. Dhakal’s vision that contributed to evolving the family business into a corporate one where his team members now align with the group’s slogan Pioneering Spirit, the driving force of the team. His vision is to empower the youth by creating opportunities for them and making them the owners of the group. His team members not only work for the company, but also own it. The IME Conglomerate is promoting social entrepreneurship and has already announced startup funds to explore the business potential of Nepal and create opportunities for youth. In 2009, he co-founded the IME Foundation that conducts philanthropic activities. The IME Foundation has been building schools and it also has a tie up with the Nepal Children’s Organization “Bal Mandir” to provide full-fledged scholarships to Orphan children, many of whom have been granted scholarships and have been enrolled in schools through the IME Foundation.
